How It Works

FindMeFlight helps travelers answer a simple but common question: “Where can I fly for the budget I have?”

Our platform quickly scans a huge range of flight options that match your budget and travel dates. We support both flexible dates and flexible destinations, allowing you to explore a wide range of possibilities with minimal effort.

Currently, search results include domestic flights within the United States, as well as flights from the U.S. to the Caribbean and select tourist destinations in Mexico. You may also use the site as a traditional flight search engine by selecting specific airports and dates.

How to Search for a Flight

1. Choose Trip Type: select either Roundtrip or One‑way.

2. Select Departure Airport: choose the airport you want to fly from.

3. Choose Destination Type. You may select:

Each flexible category includes a list of possible destinations. Click Show/Hide List to view or refine the list by unchecking destinations you want to exclude.

4. Select Departure Date. You may choose:

Flexible date options also include expandable lists under Show/Hide List for fine‑tuning.

5. Select Return Date (Roundtrip Only). You may choose:

6. Set Budget and Number of Travelers

Enter your budget per person and the number of travelers. The budget is a key factor in determining which flexible destinations are eligible.

7. Include or Exclude Ultra‑Low‑Cost Airlines

Check or uncheck the box depending on your preference.

8. Run the Search

Click Find Flights to view results.

Viewing Results

The page will refresh and display itineraries that match your criteria. If you selected flexible dates or destinations, the system will choose one valid option at random.

To explore another randomly selected itinerary, click Run Another Search to return to the main page with your previous selections restored.

How to Book a Flight

To book a flight, click the Select button on the itinerary card. You will be redirected to the airline’s website to complete your purchase.

At present, we can’t provide a direct link (i.e., a deep link) to your selected itinerary, so we redirect you to the airline’s search page. In most cases, your selected flight will appear in the opened airline’s search page automatically, but some airlines (like Spirit, for instance) may require you to enter the details manually.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are flights to flexible destinations selected?

When you choose a flexible destination category, our system identifies all destinations that match your budget and date filters. One valid itinerary is then selected at random. To view another option, simply run the search again.

What if the same destination keeps appearing?

If you repeatedly see the same destination, open the category list using Show/Hide List and uncheck that destination. Then run the search again to explore other options.

What if no flights match my criteria?

If no itinerary fits your filters (for example, if the budget is too low), the system will show the closest available option. In such cases, running another search may produce the same result because only one itinerary is the closest to your criteria. You may exclude that destination using Show/Hide List and try again.
